Manoj Debnath of Assam’s Dibrugarh won gold in both the left and right hands category in the senior men 63kg bracket of the Asian Arm Wrestling Championship, which was held in Selangor, Malaysia, from June 16 to 20.
He defeated Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Cambodia to win the Asian championship.
The event in Malaysia attracted a total of ten Asian countries.
Manoj was overjoyed to win gold in the senior men’s 63kg category in both the left and right hand.
Taking to NENow, he said, “I am grateful to my coach and parents and my well wishers. I will do more hard work and bring more medals for India in the future event.”
Manoj also won gold in both the right and left hand in the 63 kg senior men category at the National Arms Wrestling Championships, which took place in Goa from May 18 to 20.
He was also chosen for the World Arm Wrestling Championship in September 2022, which will be hosted in France.
