Due to the efforts of the Anti-Poaching Task Force, which aims to eradicate rhino poaching, only one incident of rhino poaching was reported in Assam in 2021.

Compliments to @assampolice and @kaziranga_ personnel. @CMOfficeAssam,” tweeted GP Singh, Special Director General of Police & the Chief of Anti-Rhino Poaching Task Force, Assam, on Saturday, January 15.
Notably, as part of their anti-poaching campaign on World Rhino Day in 2021, the Government of Assam burned 2,500 rare rhino horns.
