On Wednesday, floods in the state’s Dibrugarh district affected at least 3,857 people, including 1050 children.

The first floods in Assam were reported in the Chabua revenue circle in Dibrugarh district, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA). All emergency services throughout the state have been placed on high alert.
