In response to numerous customer complaints against Rapido, Ola, and Uber, the Assam Transport Department has launched a helpline number where users can report unfair practices and violations of consumer rights.

This development came following the arrest of an App-based cab driver who reportedly assaulted his passenger with a rod.

Flawed service, such as a lack of proper response from customer support, drivers refusing to accept payment via online mode and insisting on cash payment, high amounts charged despite previously travelling on the same route at a lower charge, unprofessional behaviour by drivers, and drivers refusing to turn on the vehicle’s AC when the consumer is promised an AC ride on the app, are among the complaints levelled against these transportation service providers.

Customers can now contact the helpline number 95311-07482 to report these kinds of instances.
