The Assam government has approved the construction of a 2.4-kilometer bridge across the Subansiri River that will connect Lakhimpur and Bebejia.
The distance between Lakhimpur and Dhakuakhana will be reduced by roughly 20 kilometres.
A total of 383.67 crores has been sanctioned for the project.
