Assam girl Shikha Rani Das of South Kamrup’s Nahira village brought honour to the state with a hand-drawn artwork.
Das has made herself and the people of the region proud by being included in the ‘India Books of Records’ for her efforts to represent Assam’s colourful culture through her artwork.
Shikharani, a first-year student at Indira Kala Sangeet University’s painting department, attempted to present a picture of Assam in a different manner to the entire world by combining it with Mandala art.
Shikharani had sent India Books of Records the artwork she had created in February.
On April 23, the artwork was recognised and included in the India Books of Records 2022.
It’s worth mentioning that Shikharani completed the artwork in about 20 days.
