Sneha Saikia, the daughter of a school bus driver in Assam, triumphed above all odds to secure 4th rank in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination at the same school where her father works.
Sneha’s father, Trideep Saikia, works as a bus driver at the same school she attended.
She received a spectacular 594 out of 600.
Sneha is from Sarupathar in the Golaghat district. She achieved the impressive 4th rank from the district’s Dayanand Vidya Niketan.
A total of 4,05,582 students from around the state took the HSLC exams this year.
Of the 4,05,582 students that took the exam, 2,29,131 passed.
65,176 students secured first division, 99,854 students received second division, and 64,101 students received third division.
In the HSLC examination 2022, a total of 8,373 students received distinction marks and 14,047 students received star marks.
The exam has a 56.49 per cent pass rate, this year.
