A historic event took place on Thursday (April 13) as Assam made its way into the Guinness Book of World Records in not one, but two categories.
The Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati saw an incredible display of talent as 11,304 Bihu dancers and drummers (dhuliya) performed together in unison.
The first category was for the largest Bihu dance performance ever recorded in a single venue, while the second category was for the largest dhuliya ensemble. This achievement is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Assam and the immense talent of its people.
