The chief minister of Assam on Saturday announced that financial assistance worth Rs 1000 each has been provided to more than 1lakh students from CM’s Relief Fund(CMRF) so as to help students during this tough time.
Taking it to Twitter, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote,” In our humble effort to provide relief to affected students during recent floods in the state, we have provided an assistance of Rs 1,000 each to over 1lakh student beneficiaries, from CM’s relief fund.
It is our sincere commitment to stand by the students during this tough time.”
Furthermore, the state administration has already transferred Rs 10.15 crores to 1,01,539 students.
However, the Educational department came forward to help the flood-affected students. The department decided to provide additional textbooks by August 15.
