Due to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council
election, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has cancelled two rescheduled HS 1st year exams for only the Karbi Anglong district.
Only the Karbi Anglong district’s two HS 1st year exams, which had been rescheduled for June 7 and 8, 2022, have been cancelled.
Except for Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong, all other districts will conduct HS 1st year exams from May 27 to June 8, 2022.
AHSEC had earlier released the exam schedule for the exams that had been postponed due to the flood.
The examinations, which were supposed to take place between May 18 and May 21, 2022, will now take place between June 6 and 8, 2022.
During this time, exams for disciplines such as Modern Indian Languages, Biology, Business Studies, Statistics, and others will be held.
Students, on the other hand, have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of breaks between essential papers such as Modern Indian Languages and Biology.
Students have also spoken out against the board, accusing it of putting them under undue mental strain by insisting on holding exams when the majority of them had recently been severely impacted by the floods.
