The Assam Trinamool Congress welcomed well-known Assamese actress Jupitora Bhuyan to their party on Friday, in Guwahati.
At a gathering hosted by TMC state president Ripun Bora at the party’s headquarters in Guwahati, the actress was officially welcomed into the party.
Bhuyan promised during the meeting that she would carry out her campaign for the party’s platform in the days to come with everyone’s assistance.
President Ripun Bora is optimistic that having the actress on board will eventually work to the party’s advantage.
Party general secretary (administration) Gajendra Prasad Uphanyu, chairman of the media department Dilip Kumar Sharma, treasurer Ghanakanta Chutia, and organising secretary Arup Jyoti Bhuyan were among the office bearers who attended the meeting.
