Popular Bollywood actor and director Aamir Khan donated Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Assam’s flood-affected people.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his gratitude toward Aamir Khan. The chief minister, wrote, “Eminent Bollywood actor Amir Khan extended a helping hand to the flood-affected people of our State by making a generous contribution of ₹25 lakh towards CM Relief Fund.”

“My sincere gratitude for his concern and act of generosity,” added CM Sarma.

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani had previously donated Rs 25 crore, while Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor and director Rohit Shetty have donated Rs 5 lakh. Also, singer Sonu Nigam donated Rs 5 lakh to the CM relief fund, while Bhushan Kumar, Managing Director of T-Series contributed Rs. 11 lakhs to help Assam flood victims.
