A stepfather allegedly raped his 16-year-old minor daughter in Guwahati’s Chandmari area on Wednesday.
The horrific incident occurred in the Bhaskar Nagar area of Chandmari.
The accused is identified as Ravi Vawel.
Ravi Vawel, the accused stepfather, allegedly drugged the victim girl before performing the horrible act when no one else was at home, according to reports.
A neighbour suspected that Vawel had been doing the act for a long time but had never been caught.
The minor girl, a student of class 10, is the daughter of Vawel’s second wife, with whom he is presently residing.
According to reports, Vawel was arrested when his first wife’s son, Sumon Vawel, filed a complaint.
