Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Saturday, January 1, that the government will build 10 lakh pucca houses for the underprivileged, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) scheme.
The chief minister assured that the houses will be environmentally safe and secure.
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) scheme was first launched by former Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in the year 2017.
