Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who is now filming ‘Emergency’ in Assam, paid a visit to Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, on Saturday at Guwahati.

The actress chose a lovely bottle green Assamese cotton weaves with a colourful border to wear for the occasion.

The actress posted on Instagram to express her appreciation for Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, with the caption: “Such a delight to meet. Honourable Chief Minister Assam, Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma ji…. He extended his support for our team as we begin our outdoor schedule very soon in various locations across Assam … Such an honour and privilege to get his support and encouragement Many thanks, sir.”

Aside from that, Kangana also praised the Assamese cotton weaves she donned. Kangana shared a photo of her wearing it on Facebook along with the caption, “I didn’t know Assamese weaves are so stunning uuuffff…. I might express how gorgeous it looks but I can never tell how comfortable Assamese cotton is…
It should be one of the wonders of the world.”

“There are hundreds of stunning Assamese weaves this particular one is weaved by forest Women of Deepor Beel, Motifs are inspired by boro tribe and Magor designs.I bought it from a non profitable organisation AVA Creations They are working for forest dependent communities for giving them alternate livelihood with dignity.Do buy from them sometime,” she added.
